All the Nokia N8 users have been searching the web for Skype for their devices but its been long now that not even I can find it but Skype sent an email to me about the Nokia N8 having a proper working version of Skype.

Here’s what a Skype representative said to the public:

“Some clarification on Skype for Symbian^3 devices like N8:

Current public client available on Skype and OVI won’t work correctly since Symbian^3 has some changes in connectivity and UI areas and we need to make a new version for it.

Skype for Symbian client development is ongoing and we will release a new client soon(soon is before Christmas if there won’t be any problems with S^3 )

New client will support newer S^3 devices and freshly released v3 and v5 models.
Client will have a lot of UI improvements(as far as Symbian UI stack allows us  )
and call quality will be greatly improved.

Don’t expect something revolutionary in this release, the exiting stuff is reserved for next year and newer Nokia phones like N8 and such, which finally have the power to do what Skype users want.”

This should help the users that wish to know about the Skype application for the Nokia N8. When a link has been released then I shall post it here at this blog.
