How to overclock NITDroid on the N900? (for the advanced users) Posted: 01 Apr 2011 02:41 PM PDT Today I would like to show you guys how to Overclock the NITDroid installed on the N900. NITDroid is the Android port for the N900. I would show the guide to installation in the next post. For now, this is how you overclock it (for advanced users only) First mount your /and partition using the X-Terminal mount -o noatime,rw /dev/mmcblk0p5 /and Note that the mmcblk0p5 may differ from person to person. mmcblk0p5 is for those that installed on the internal memory. For those installed on the microsd card it might be mmcblk1p1 Then go to file manager and browse to /and/system/etc/ You should see something like the following
What comes next should be simple to understand. Rename any of the oc-profile file into power.conf file and reboot. You just successfully overclocked the NITDroid. Keep in mind that the oc-ed device would be causing more heat and consuming more power but it would run faster |
